About Cykelvasan

Cykelvasan was first raced in 2009 and almost immediately became the world’s biggest mountain-bike race. The 94 kilometres follow Vasaloppet’s classic corridor from Sälen to Mora, but in August green instead of February snow – same checkpoints, same blueberry soup, same finish arch in Mora.

The race anchors Vasaloppet’s summer week, which also holds shorter races and youth classes. For many it’s a family adventure: one parent rides, the rest cheer in Evertsberg and meet up at the finish.

Cykelvasan fills the same corridor as the winter race but in August warmth: Sälen, Evertsberg, Oxberg, Mora. Riders often bring the family and make a summer week of it.
